PPC-CC #15 ANOTHER FABBY CHALLENGE :)

Good, Good morning to you! I have been up since 5:50 am this morning making my card for the Picture Perfect Creations Color Combo #15. Well this morning here in small town Millet, Alberta it is raining some more and not a wink of sun in site. Thankfully there doesn't appear to be anymore snow. We desperately need the rain, but we did have it all weekend along with snow and I am ready for a break as we have a soccer game tonight. On the bright side everything looks soooooo green and healthy. :o

Okay, on to the fabby colors picked this week by Megan. At first I wasn't sure what I could do with the color blush blossom with old olive and chocolate chip. I was going to use way more chocolate chip this morning but got side tracked with my old olive...LOL. The only thing if I had time would have been to add.....can you guess? Well I hope that you guessed dazzling diamonds some more bling on a card never hurts and it one of my fav's. A softer back ground might have been better on this card but I was going for bold Traffic Jam Cuttlebug folder. I knew I wanted to use Essence of love stamp set by Stampin' Up. Oh and the ripping was fun and to add to the fun I used my punch for the corners and added some chocolate chip pearls. It was a great way to get my creative mojo flowing for a Monday morning.

Here is my card with these fabby colors:

What does your day hold for you? For me, it is looking after my little guy Ethan, some dreaded house work...lol. I lost my laundry fairy again she just keeps leaving and then soccer tonight. Oh and I am in the process of putting my craft area back together and then I am going to make a card in it*whoop, whoop*. Let's pray for one tonight if I am not too tired. We even got our toy area cleaned up well now they are all in boxes or in my garage. Now we just have to figure out what to due with some of them but the best part is that I CAN SEE MY FLOOR OF MY CRAFT ROOM!! :) Can you say happy dance....if only you could see me now *giggle, snort*.

Come join us this week at the PPC we have great colors and it is going to be great week! I would love to see your creations and send some love your way. When you are checking out the colors make sure you take some time to pop into the other Creators to see their works this week. They are totally FABBY!!! You can get to them from my blog their links are on my right hand side. I will try to put their links in my post later today! Come join us and have some fun creating!

LOL...for a minute I was thinking a funny thought of how I should wake my kids up this morning....oh well it would be better to have a nice start verus playing a joke...I guess...LOL. Wishing everyone a fantastic day!

For Jayme.....

What a great day today has been already! How is your day going so far? This morning I was scoping out challenges and landed at A Spoon Full of Sugar where the top of their post caught my eye and touched my heart it was a request from Lisa Cook, her sister Jayme has terminal lung cancer and time is running out for her. Lisa is having a special event for her sister where she is asking her stamping friends to make funny or pretty cards for her sister to make her laugh. Jayme really loves frogs. Please hop on over to Lisa Blog Stamped Art By Lisa if you would like more information and an address. Cancer has taken several people from my life this year and I would love to put a smile on Jayme face so this card is for you.

First off you need great colors to cheer and that is what I found at SPCC #49, thanks Samantha for some really cheerful colors this week. I then went to Crazy 4 Challenges #38 for Cindy Haffner's sketch. Cindy I just felt this was a perfect sketch for a Frog. Thanks so much to both of you for your inspiration.
My card for Jayme frogs singing music can always soothe the soul:
Recipe: Paper: Only Orange, Green Galore, Bermunda Bay and whisper white; Ink: basic black; Accessories: Cuttlebug folders, SU punch and square nestabilities, SU markers; Stamps: Toadily Transparent.

Wishing Jayme many smiles and tons of laughter and may the cards bring you joy!!

Megan over at PPC has a super dooper color challenge that if I don't mind saying had me thinking out of the box. It is awesome and I hope that you will hop on over to play...that way I can share some love of your project with you. Here are the colors once again.

Thanks for stopping bye and sharing my card for Jayme. Till next time I am sending you a smile and a thanks for your support!!

Best Wishes!

Good Morning to ya! Well today is a super day, everyone has the day off including my hubby :). I even got to sleep in...it is soooooooo wonderful when that happens...LOL. Happy Victoria Day to all of my Canadian crafting pals. An update on our Anniversary, Rob loved the card and on Saturday we recreated most of our first date... :) We went to the Olive Garden for supper and to the movie Robin Hood. Both were excellent just like the first time around.

My craft room is still torn apart, but hopefully we can get it put back together soon. This morning I went down stairs and hauled some of my card making stuff up to my kitchen table. Isn't it funny how you don't realize how comfortable you are with a space until you have to leave it...LOL. Anyway my card is pretty plain and a little bright today due to the fact that it is still hard to find what I want to use, but I think my card turned out pretty good.

Megan has put together another super fab color combo for Picture Perfect Creations #14. Last week was another great week over at the PPC and I have loved seeing everyones work, so be sure to join us so I can hop on over to share some *love*. Megan thank you for your hard work and all of your inspiration.

Card Patterns has a simple but awesome sketch that I just knew would work perfectly with Megan's color challenge. So thanks for the early morning inspiration.

Here is my simple card I enjoyed inking my new hostess stamp set.
Paper: Handsome Hunter, Cameo Coral, Ballet Blue, Whisper White; Ink: Basic Black; Accessories: green pearls, Swiss dots folder, Diamonds in the Rough folder, Beautiful Wings Embosslits, handsome hunter, ballet blue, cameo coral markers, diamensionals; Stamps: Asian Artistry and Kind and Caring Thoughts (both SU).

Please hop on over see the other DT's amazing works again this week and they are:

Megan, Lori, Sandy, Paula, Nicole, Melissa, Trish, Allison, Debbie, and Jackie

What does today hold for me, I am not sure, but I do hope that it has tons of laughter, some crafting and hopefully just sometime to relax. Wishing you all a fantastic day and thanks for sharing my card with me.

Thank You Mom!

Good very late evening my fellow crafters. What can I say, a crafting pity party sounds good, but I am trying really hard not too. Here it goes: yesterday I made a card and was putting it together when I spilled a whole glass of water across my card and my desk. So my card and a bunch of paper were wrecked. Tonight my son came into my craft room where I was having a fabulous time and said "hey mom the floor is very wet here and spongy, it also smells like soap when he started to clean it up. Then we realized that the wet area was so much bigger. Now my craft area is ripped apart and we had to move everything and rip my cupboard out and rip of the carpet. We spent a couple of hours cleaning up what we could and we are still trying to find out where the water is coming from *sigh, groan, sigh* :( Anyways enough of my pity party. I challenged my girlfriend Lori to create a card tonight. Mine is super late getting on, sorry.

As always I just love all of the challenges out there and wish I could complete each one every week. Tonight I chose The Color Dare, Stampin Royalty and Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog.

The Color Dare (CD67) really challenged me with the colors of Old Olive, Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo and Elegant Eggplant. It was so awesome and I would love to try another configuration of these colors. Stampin Royalty has this amazing sketch, it was just calling to me to create, create...LOL! Way to Go Girls!!! Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog this week was to "Get Personal" and put it on the front of our card! Another fantastic idea thank you so much.
The card I made is for my mom. A couple of weeks ago when we were in Winnipeg she watched our kids for us. I love her to bits and pieces and wanted to say thanks to her. My mom loves dazzling diamonds like I do but you can't see it too well on this picture. I would have added a butterfly but due to not knowing where anything is located, I found my buttons and stuck with it...LOL.
I used mostly stampin up stuff with the exception of the cuttlebug folder and the little bella and button. The rest is all SU!!

Thank you so much for stopping bye and sharing my mom's card with me. Thanks Lori for playing tonight and Leanne you too!! Stop bye and see their awesome creations tonight. Oh don't forget to pop over to the PPC and try their color combo this week it is fantastic and a contest too, and Lori is celebrating her 25,000 hits with some blog candy!!!

Mojo Monday & Colour Q

Good Afternoon!!! Today is a blistering hot day for May, it is 31 celcius outside, here in Millet, Alberta! What a beautiful day! The sun is just beautiful...to bad it brought the misquito's with it...LOL.

I wanted to make a card for my DH Rob today as it is our Anniversary. We have been married for 14 years and together for 19 years, he is my best friend and someone I cherish with all of my heart. I *heart* the memories we have made together and look forward to many more. Rob is a true blessing in my life and a very special man.

My good friend Lori challenged me to do the color challenge over at Colour Q. So thanks Lori because the colors are perfect for Rob's card. RILEY IS SO CUTE, just like my DH. Along with the awesome colors the Mojo Monday sketch was perfect. Hat's off to all of the great work by the DT's from both challenges, they rock!!

Here is Riley...he just reminds me of when we went to Mexico. Rob loved to sit in the hammocks and enjoy a drink!! Some really great memories.
Paper is all Stampin' Up, Versa Fine ink, clear embossing powder, white satin Ribbon, top note, kiwi kiss ribbon, Swiss Dots, Big Dots, button, hemp twine, SU marker, blender pen, water color pencils & markers (SU), Rub ons.

I am sure wishing you all a great afternoon, thanks for stopping in to see my creation! Keep smiling!

Good Morning Riley!!!

Good Morning!!! The early bird got to make a card this morning...LOL. I have been up since 5:00 am, yep you heard me...it is a shock I know but I was excited to put these colors together today for Megan over at Picture Perfect Creations Color Challenge Blog. It has been two weeks since I have seen the sun come up and I still believe that people should be sleeping.... *wink* but alas here we are with Riley!

Today's color combo Green Galore, Whisper White, Basic Black and Basic Gray got me thinking about Riley. You see I bought this stamp a while ago and just haven't got it inky. It was perfect for me because our lives have been filled with soccer practice, games and pictures and this color green reminded me of their jersey color last year, it is a little lighter, but pretty close.

Here he is! I used for the first time the drops to add something extra. I have also had these for a while and thought how am I going to use them. Now I know...LOL. I also discovered this morning that I don't have a 1" square punch...what is up with that....*giggle*. One more thing to look out for. I am also going to enter soccer Riley into the KL Stampin N Scrappin Challenge #30 (we are to show our animal friends some love).

I also used my water color pencils as my stampin' up brown markers were to dark to color Riley with. It covered his cute eye's so their water color pencils worked wonders. The hounds tooth Cuttlebug folder too is awesome too! Oh and I can't forget one of my fav punches the ticket punch.

Being quiet was a chore this morning as to not wake Tristan. Usually music and hot chocolate are the order of the day for crafting but not this morning. Make up time will have to come soon...LOL. There have been so many awesome challenges and I look forward to being able to participate this week.

In the last week my DH has been off from work (so needless to say no time for crafting :0 ), gymnastic's, soccer pictures (games, practices), sitting in a doctors office....well you get the idea. My highlight this last week was going to see Lifehouse and DAUGHTRY!!! With Lori, Melissa and Jackie. It turned into an adventure as Lori's van broke down on the way. Luck was on our side and we were close to her sisters place and Jackie's hubby was around to help out. Then my DH and Lori's DH helped by picking us up after the concert. Even if we hadn't of gotten to the concert it would have been a great time with the girls and a little stress. The concert was AWESOME and has added to my book of memories. So hugs to you Lori and your van you are a trooper!!

Well this morning I am going to get my kids and hubby up with a super smile and try not to want to crash at 4pm...LOL. I am babysitting today, a soccer game tonight and well who knows what kind of adventures are in store for me today. Wishing you all the very best.

Please hop on over to the other PPC Creators to check out their awesome work this week. Give them some love too...as we all love comments. If you could click on my side bar their links will be there. (Sorry gotta run my daughter needs me).

LORI, ALLISON, MELISSA, JACKIE, PAULA, SANDY, TRISH, MEGAN, DEBBIE AND NICOLE!!

HAVE A SUPER MONDAY!!!! and don't forget to stop bye and play at PPC-CC.

Celebrate!! A clean and simple card.

In the very wee hours of the morning on Saturday May 1...this card was in production for my son's friend. I was so tired because in less than 4 hours we had to be up and to the airport.

The base of the card was already made and the colored layers were pre-cut from my daughters b-day party. The frog stamp is from a set that was given to me for my birthday from my friend Lori. Celebrate is from a SU set. Marker and ink were SU. This is late being put on here but I thought I would show you my good lookin' frogs....LOL. The orange and green went well with everything.

It was so much fun even though I was tired but my mom kept me awake by making me laugh. It was a froggy good time. *snort*.

Happy Monday Morning!!!

Can't believe we are starting the second week in May...wow! Well my DH and I enjoyed some time in Winnipeg, we had a ton of rain but we enjoyed walking in it. It sure does have some beautiful spots and was a great way to spend 6 days. It was very busy when we got home. Our children really wanted our attention, we went shopping for some dessert for my dad's 80th birthday party and then we tackled the problem of all of the toys my kids have ever been given (still a work in progess but a huge dent made). On Saturday, we celebrated my dad's 80th birthday and my good friend Lori braved the trenches to meet a bunch of my family. Thanks Lori.

Happy belated Mother's Day. Mine was really good, we went and saw Iron Man 2 which I must say totally ROCKED!! We visited with my mom and dad for a few and then came home. Earlier in the day we were working on getting all of the toys ready to leave my crafting area!!!! OH the JOY of a relaxing room...LOL. It will happen some day very soon...*dancing*

Today, will be filled with doing laundry, babysitting Ethan and working on my craft room. My DH husband is off this week and well...he always keeps me very busy so I will have to sneak some time into craft...LOL. I have truly missed my challenges. Oh if I get lucky I will have some candles lit with some hot chocolate....oh man that sounds like a plan to do asap, even before I send my kids to school. My house is sooooo quiet...all you can hear is my typing...LOL.

Enough of my yapping and onto the rockin color combo that Megan has this week for Picture Perfect Creations . My card came together easily this morning so hop on over to see the works of all the other PPC Creators (names & links will be added later). They have some super fab works of art again this week. The sketch I used was from the Our Creative Corner weekly Thursday Sketch. One look at it and I new what to do...

Here is my master piece this morning:
I just love butterflies....can't wait to actually see one...hmmmm. IT is spring right????

All of my stamps are from Verve (just love 'em). Paper: Perfect Plum, Soft Suede, Sage Shadow, Bravo Burgandy and whisper white. Ink: perfect plum, bravo burgandy, sage shadow. Marker: SU. Accessories: burgandy buttons, paper piercer, paper flowers, circle and scalloped circle spellbinders, and corner round (SU), D'vine Swirl folder and Swiss Dots folder (cuttlebug), Martha Stewart Punch. Three flowers would have been perfect but I only had two so I stepped out of my box and put them on anyway...LOL.

Well I should go, waking the kids up for school is a must, breakfast and out the door is equalling working with my DH today...LOL. Have a super Monday and please hop on over to Picture Perfect Creations to check out the colors.

PPC - CC#11 - Thanks

Good morning all my crafting PEEPS! As you are reading this, I am in downtown Winnipeg, checking out all the cool sights, window shopping and enjoying a little break away with my DH while he is here on a business trip.

This week's color challenge at Picture Perfect Creations was a very enjoyable one for me and my card came together fairly quickly. I saw a card in the Stampin' Up! catalog and decided to do a bit of "tweaking" to it and call it my own:

As you can tell lately from my posts, that I really am enjoying using my Top Note die from Stampin' Up! It sure makes a card front work up quick and easy!

Be sure to hop on over to the Picture Perfect Challenge Blog and click on each of the other Design Team Member's for some more wonderful inspiration! Take care and remember to keep smiling!
