Butterfly Happiness and PPC #23

Good Morning to you! I have a very exciting new Color Combo from Picture Perfect Creations to tell you about! Can you believe we are on #23 already? Time flies when you are having fun and I sure am having fun. Well my crafting pal's these colors might just be my new favorites. I loved them immediately and new which sketch I wanted to use to make my card pop. Lori lent me her Verve stamps called Beautiful Kindness and what can I say but dang that BUTTERFLY IS BEAUTIFUL and wings of Friendship by SU!! Like any of our challenges their are so many things to do with these colors but I kept it simple. These colors will truly be used in some of my future card. I have been asked to make a 60th anniversary card and I think I have found my colors. Thank you Megan *giggle*.

This awesome sketch which helped make these amazing colors pop is by Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. Thanks Mercy :)
Now for the beautiful butterfly :)

The punch at the bottom is a Martha Stewart, I used pearls, Dots Folder (SU) and SU Basic Gray Satin Ribbon. I just love the ribbon and really how this card just came together. The paper and ink are from SU. Thanks again Lori for letting me use some Daffodil Delight! It is a very pretty color.
Thanks for stopping bye and please check out the other DT's work! Their links are on the right hand side of my blog...share some love with them too!
Sending you smiles and I will see you soon!

Love, Chocolate and PPC #22

Hello to all my crafting Peeps! I am trying to figure out where July is going? I had the pleasure of taking my crafting stuff out to Lori's and worked on a couple of challenges. I must say this one sure did have me confuzzled (is that a word? probably not *giggle*). The night before I had worked and reworked the color layout several times. Then Lori and I worked and reworked the colors a few more times. We finally decided I needed a new sketch idea and to use a little less of one color. Thanks Lori for helping me out of my crafting troubles and THANK YOU MEGAN at Picture Perfect Creations for really making me think outside of my box! It is a super great challenge and sure do hope you join us for PPC Color Combo #22.

Thanks to the girls at JUST US GIRLS this sketch is just awesome and really helped me design a fantastic card (well I think it is *hee hee*).
Here is my creation! The little butterflies I must say were not my idea, Lori looked at my card and said, I think you should add this and I said okay! She was right and it just helped make my other butterflies pop. Again thanks Lori, for your good crafting eye!

The punch used on the bottom is my mom's. She just got it used it once and then I begged her to let me use it on my card challenge for this week. Isn't she awesome!! It is a super punch and I just might have to get it for my collection. Other punches were Martha Stewarts as well and some spellbinders. The ink and Paper are all SU but the sentiment is from Verve Love's Flowers. Which could possibly be my new favorite.
I have not always had the new colors from SU but Lori is a SU REP and she let me use some (Thank you)!!
Thanks for stopping in and please stop in to see the other DT's. They have rocked this challenging challenge. There links are on the right hand side of my blog! Keep smiling and see you soon.

Thank You and PPC #21

Good Morning! I hope this Monday morning finds you well and that the weekend went great for you! Today, I am getting ready to leave for my holidays with my DH and family. We are heading out to camp. The only downside is that after a week my neck still is not feeling much better *sigh*. It is what it is and the fun just can not wait.

I just love the colors that Megan put together this week. They were very fun to work with.
Color Combo #21 from Picture Perfect Creations please join us!

The sketch I used this week is from Melissa Craig from Tuesday Morning Sketches. It was one that I had wanted to do earlier but did get a chance. I saw these awesome colors from Megan and wola a card was born.
Here is my creation:
As you all know, I just love my Swiss dots, but I couldn't wait to try something new. My friend Lori showed me how to create the layered effect with the ribbon, but I decided to leave the bow off with my scalloped circles being to big. All in all pattern paper was finally used and my Martha Stewart Punch. Only two changes they are Riding Hood Red in place of Cherry Cobbler and Chocolate Chip for Early Espresso.
See you back here soon and have a fantastic Monday! Thanks for sharing my card with me.
P.S. Please don't forget to share your love with the other PPC DT's they have some more awesome work this week. Their links are on the right hand side of my blog.

Love Generously, PPC-CC #20

Well, where did our weekend go???? My craft room was feeling very negelected this week. Who knew it was going to be sooooooo busy. We were lucky that we had some nice weather during the day but some huge storms at night. I hope everyone had a great Canada Day and Fourth of July! We were to go swimming at the lake and then have a bbq but I woke up with a neck that wouldn't move and a ton of pain. My family was great and stayed home with me without complaining *heart them*. I am still having trouble but hopefully soon it will disappear. Now onto the good stuff. Justin left yesterday and is now at home with his mom and sister. I will miss him, he sure did make me laugh. I got to meet my nephew Travis's wife and my great neice (7months) yesterday also. It sure was nice to see my nephew and family. They live in South Korea so they don't make it home very often. His wife is beautiful and his little girl is just gorgeous!!!

On to our Rockin' Color Combo #20 over at Picture Perfect Creations but I must say I found it hard to layer (in my head it worked so much better...LOL). I worked this card a few times and the end result is a card that my DD just loves. My difficulty might have come from not having the rich cherry cobbler, the closest paper was Riding Hood Red in my paper stash. The little flowers on the side are from Memories Such As These where I sell my cards and the corner scallop punch is from SU. The stampset is from Close to My Heart (it is one of my fav's), back ground stamp is from SU. Megan you rock and thanks for the super great color combo again this week.
Creating a design from my head just seemed impossible last night so I hopped on over to Card Patterns and boys they didn't let me down (one more layer was added). Thanks ladies for being an inspiration to me.

The open space on each layer bothered me and I soooo wanted to put something there but Kaitlyn said to me "MOM just leave it alone, it looks nice the way it is." So I listened to her and hope you like the end result too.

Please don't forget to stop by Megan, Nicole, Sandy, Jackie, Paula, Lori, Melissa, Debbie, Allison and Trish. They all have made amazing creations again this week. Their links are on my right hand side so please hop on over and share some love.

Wishing you a very happy Monday. Today is the first Monday out of school can you see my happy dance :) Happy crafting to you!!!
