Crazy Egg Challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks

Wow, where has the time been going? Can you believe we are already on Challenge #5 at 4 Crafty Chicks. WAHOOOOO you girls pulled out all the stops with some awesome fall inspiration this last week.

Are you ready? Do you want to know what we are doing this week? Well this week is our Crazy Egg Challenge which all of us chicks put together! We will have a Crazy Egg challenge whenever there is 5 weeks in a month. Our challenge for this week is to have CHICKS/BIRDS on your creation. Since it is the last week of the month there is a prize week. Oh and if you are entering it through a gallery 4CCC-5.

On the hunt I went for a really cute SU stamp set, I think it was a hostess one last year. Anyway a card was designed in my head and ready to go when finally I realized that stamp set isn't in my collection! Can you say shock and dismayed. So on went my search to find a chick or bird....A Wish For Peace it will be.

This is my card:
I saw this really cute sketch at CARD PATTERNS and it just worked really good with my stamp set. Thanks ladies, your sketch inspired me.

I will be back later today to list my recipe, sorry for this but I am not feeling well and have to take a break.

I am soooooo EXCITED about this challenge. We hope you are excited too and look forward to having you play with us. Please hop on over to Leanne, Lori and Melissa they have some awesome cards this week.

Guest Designer at Stampin Royalty

Can you say excited!!! I have been jumping up and down waiting for Wednesday to get here so I could share my news with you all! Yep, as you can see by the title, I will be a guest designer for Stampin Royalty! If you have not checked out these wonderful ladies you really should; each week they challenge us to something new and fun :). Not to mention that the DT's all have their own style and their creations are an inspiration to all each week! If you have it is probably saved in your favorites list or you follow them to see their challenge each week. So when asked to be a Guest Designer I was very humbled and honored. Thanks ladies for this wonderful experience, it will be treasured and I look forward to seeing everyones blogs and getting to work with the girls of Stampin Royalty.

Now onto the exciting challenge this week...ARE YOU READY????? We are doing a sketch this week and Sandra Farrell has designed an amazing sketch. You ROCK Sandra it has been a blast to design a card with your sketch this week.

While driving this weekend, the trees just looked so beautiful, so when making this card the Fall theme seemed to inspire me. There are still a few Sympathy cards that need to be done so here is another one. The oval for my stamped image didn't work for the way the sketch is so I just turned it on its side. Also the image stamped is colored with the thumping techinque! For my first time...not to bad and I enjoy it.

Recipe:

Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Lovely as a Tree

Paper: Early Espresso, Cherry Blossom, Daffodil Delight and Very Vanilla

Ink: Early Espresso, and markers for the tree (early espresso, cherry blossom and daffodil delight)

Accessories: small oval punch, medium oval punch, scallop punch, boho Blossom punch, Three trio punch, Finial Press Folder, sponge dauber, dimensionals, vanilla pearls and early espresso ribbon.

This is going to be an amazing week and I am looking forward to checking out your blogs and seeing your creations. Don't forget to share some love with the Stampin Royatly DT's. Their work is awesome :)

Wishing you a fanastic Hump Day, may it be a Wednesday filled with tons of laughter and smiles. Thanks for stopping in.

Rich Crisp Colors at PPC Challenge #32

Hey there everyone! I hope your weekend was full of a little bit of everything, laughter, peace, quiet, some great companionship and most of all fun. I had a good weekend even though my allergies have finally caught up to me, boy does my head hurt. There has to be something said when you sinus's can change the way you sound...LOL. Some would say I sound a little huskier...LOL. This weekend both my boys and Rob walked for two charities, Kaitlyn and myself were only able to walk in one. It rained yesterday but it sure did bring out the crisp new colors on the trees. Speaking of colors onto our color challenge.

Ooooooooo, this color challenge has some super dooper fall colors, so come join us at Picture Perfect Creations. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these colors Megan. Don't ya just love it when you see colors and a card falls into place. Now this cute stamp set my girlfriend Lori let me borrow for this little piece of inspiration. The sketch I used was an old one from CPS. Their sketches are just awesome. All stamps were markered and then huffed on to create this look.

What do you think of this crisp clean and simple card? Aren't the colors just perfect for it?
Come join us for some great fun! It is so much fun commenting and checking out your blogs. Hop on over and look at the other DT's creations they are just wonderful. You can get to them by clicking onto their names on the right hand side of my blog.

Thanks for stopping in and all comments are appreciated. Don't look now but a smile is being sent your way :)

SPCC # 66 combined with Diva Coffee Break Designs

Good evening everyone! Today, I had the chance to go see my very good friend Lori and craft! As always it was a wonderful day but it always goes bye way to fast. The fog this morning was awful but the gorgeous sun this afternoon was worth the wait. What was the weather like where you live?

It ended up being a busy day for both of us, but I managed to make a card just for fun *WOOT, WOOT*. After school we went and watched Tristan play his first volleyball games of the season. Congrat's on the wins.

It seems like forever since I have participated in these two challenge blogs but boy oh boy was it fun today and you should all hop on over to check them out. Thanks ladies for making it easy! Scrapmaster's Paradise: Color Combo and Diva Coffee Break Designs (sketch this week).

Hope you like the circles as much as I do!

Thank you so much for stopping bye.
If you are looking for another color combo hop on over to Picture Perfect Creations for this weeks challenge and 4 Crafty Chicks has a new challenge too and would love to see you!

Cute Owls and 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge #4

Whoot, Whoot!!! Can you believe it is already Thursday? Time is flying bye but I am so excited because 4 Crafty Chicks can now bring you our next challenge#4! First off last week was so much fun and thank you so much for the huge response it was so exciting and all of the creations were so amazing!!!

So are you ready for it.....wait...wait...our hostess-with-the-mostest this week is Lori. Her most fantabulous idea for you this week is a Theme Challenge: FALL (colors, holidays, whatever brings FALL to mind)! I had so much fun with this card, personally these rich warm colors just bring peace of mind and a comfort feeling where you just want to sit by the fire and snuggle under a warm blanket with some hot chocolate. So please come join us and show us your fall creations I can't wait to see them.

The sketch I am using is from CPS- Card Positioning Systems. While making my card the image was a little bigger than theirs so I turned the card on its side. I hope this is okay. Thank you so much for the wonderful sketch, it really did help my card flow.

I don't have many bird stamps but I do love these owls by Rachelle Anne Miller. Aren't they just cute? Their eye's just make me smile! Whoo, Whoo :)
Time has not allowed me to play with to many other challenge sites but today I was able to look and see what was out there:

Paper Sundaes - Fall or Halloween colors - rusts, yellow, brown, green and pumpkiny color
Creative Card Crew - Autumn or Fall
Secret Crafter Saturday challenge - Anything Goes
Creative Belli Blog - B Themed Embellishments - mine are Brads (leaves)
Alphabet Challenge Blog - U is for Unused Stash (my leaf brads I have had for three years and my owl stamp has been untouched for a year).
Crafty Creations - Falling Leaves

Can't wait to see everyones inspirations for this challenge. It is so nice to have highlights in my week and Monday at PPC is one and now every Thursday at 4 Crafty Chicks is another. I look forward to stopping bye and seeing your blogs.

Thanks Lori for the Fall Theme as yesterday, I spent all day outside enjoying the very cool crisp weather watching my three kids compete in the x-country run ( 18th, 30th, 30th), it was a great day. Today, I am off to craft with my friend Lori, then home, then to volleyball to watch Tristan's first game of the season, supper, homework, then bed and if I get lucky maybe some crafting or baking. What are you up to on this sunny Thursday?

Oh and don't forget to pop on over to Leanne, Melissa and Lori's blogs to share some love with them.

Thanks for stopping bye and all comments are so appreciated. May you day be filled with smiles and laughter!

A COLOR CHALLENGE FOR YOU- PPC #31

Good Monday morning. I hope your weekend was good. Mine had ups and downs. One of my highlights was pulling out my cross stitch and working on it for a couple of hours on Saturday (Crafty Day at the church). Their were quite a few ladies there and it was great seeing them after 3 months. Yesterday, I didn't feel so well so I finished reading a book called The Fallen 2 (it was sooooooo good) and I did some laundry. As I watched the rain fall it kind of fit my mood cranky...LOL...LOL. Enough of my yapping....

It is time for another color challenge brought you by Megan at Picture Perfect Creations Challenge Blog. Boy oh boy is it a color challenge. It took me a while Megan to wrap my brain around this color combo! Lori and I bounced idea's off of one another for this color combo. Now I wasn't completely sure if I was happy with my card or not, but I have discovered that after putting it away and then taking it out and looking at it again, it isn't too bad. Well, I hope you like it. Butterflies seem to have taken over my cards (they seem to be on all of them lately *wink*). Maybe it is one last hope that Fall or winter really is not coming.

My creation:

Sorry, I have to run, but I will be back to put the recipe on here for you.
Thanks for stopping in and please don't forget to share some love with the other DT's. Their links are on my right hand side. They work is amazing.

4 Crafty Chicks Challenge #3 Embossing

Good Good Morning, today is another crazy blah morning filled with rain in small town Alberta. The news has even forcasted some S***, yep that is right some snow, isn't that a swear word this early....LOL. To make it all better this morning, I made the kids and Rob homemade blueberry muffins with a bisquick. Sure hope they taste good.

Wow can you believe we are on week 3 of our challenges over at 4 Crafty Chicks. I am the hostess-with-the-mostess this week and soooooo excited to bring the challenge to you! We want you to use EMBOSSING on your cards this week. Heat or dry it will all work or both. Can you say looking forward to seeing what you all do, well that is me! Week 2 was awesome and I had so much fun looking at everyones blogs. Thanks for playing.

The weather has been very bleak and blah, so my brain wasn't working on putting colors together, so while talking to my good friend Lori, she told me I should stop on over to Stacey's Curtain Call Color Challenge it just might help. Thanks Stacey and Lori
the colors were perfect for a sympathy card. This card will be given to my step uncle his wife passed away on Saturday. A few more have to be made before this Saturday.

I just love, love embossing!!!! I colored inside the Leafy Branch Cuttlebug folder to get the effect on my card. Also tearing my top layer shows the Swiss Dots embossing very well. The markers used are Always Artichoke, Early Espresso, and Crumb Cake.

Be sure to stop bye the other Crafty Chicks and share some love....we like it too!

Lori - Inkingly Yours
Leanne- Banking on Crafts
Melissa- My Paper Obsession

Please come join us at 4 Crafty Chicks we would love to see your crafty creations and visit your blogs; it is so much fun visiting.

No Small Miracles

Gooooooooooood Monday Morning! Well I have to say it is another deary and rainy day here in small town Millet, Alberta! Boy could I use some sun right now. I think candles and a hot chocolate are in order this morning and even some cheery music. Even though the weekend flew bye again, I am very excited to show you our newest challenge over at Picture Perfect Creations Color Combo #30.

These stunning colors can be used for any kind of card as you will see from all of DT's we have made many different cards. The design of my card is actually a sketch that I made with MDS. I have been playing with it and it has been a lot of fun. It is another card that I have went pearl crazy on and was a happy flower puncher (LOL) and loved using a few others too. Most are Stampin UP and the butterfly is Martha Stewart.

Here is my flower card :)

Please stop bye the other DT's and share some love, we love it too! You can get to there site either from PPC or from the right hand side of my blog. Thanks Megan for a wonderful challenge and I am wishing everyone a wonderful day! May you get hit with the crafting bug this week and come join us and may you have just a great week.

PPC #29 Colors to Smile About!!

Hi all! Picture Perfect Creations is on our 29th challenge this week, so I hope you are able to take sometime out of your busy schedule to come play with this very cool color combo! We love seeing all of your creations and enjoy coming to each of your blogs.

Today, my DH and kids have the day off as it is a Long Weekend here in Canada. We are going to be working very hard on Tristan's bedroom and the bathroom in the basement. We had some water damage that caused mold to grow and has created a huge headache for us (so much has been done since Thurday). Today, we will be trying to remove the paint off of the concrete. We will be working like crazy to get it done so that Tristan can get back into his bed room and the rest of my house will be in order...LOL. Our deck and garden doors will have to wait now until we get the basement finished. Alas it has been a busy week that has not allowed hardly anytime for crafting. Thanks Lori for coming and helping us out on Friday it was great to see you and was soooo appreciated!

Don't you just love, love, love these colors...so many different styles of cards, scrapbook pages or jewerely could be made with them. The colors that Megan has picked this week just make me smile. The saying is from Verve and it is a thought to truly ponder. What do you think? The sketch this week is from Inspirational Card Sketches which allowed me to make a clean and simple card. I really like to layer when the colors all come together.

Thanks for the awesome sketch.
Here is my card with three different embossing folders...don't you just love the dry embossing!

Sorry, to cut this short but I have work to get to in the basement! Have a wonderful day and please don't forget to share some love with the other DT's. Inspiration is their middle names. You can get to their links by going up to my right hand side and clicking on their names.
May your day be filled with laughter and your night be peaceful!!
If you have time please check out 4 Crafty Chicks as they have an sketch that would be awesome for these colors.
