A Huge Thank You!!

Yesterday had started off a little bit slow and maybe even a little bit grouchy but it is amazing how something nice and unexpected can change your mood for the day. My good friend Lori told me I should check out Scrapmasters Paradise Color Combo's to see if they had their new color combo up yet. When I got over there I saw my name in big letters. My card was in the Winner Circle. The best part is that I get to be a guest designer next week. Yahoooooo :) :) As I was looking for some new sketches this week I went back to one of my fav's Techno Stamper (she didn't disappoint another fabby one). That is when I found out that I made the TOP 3. Isn't that just awesome news. THANK YOU BOTH SO MUCH FOR PICKING MY CARD!!! What a super great Monday!!! You got me dancing!!!! New Color Combo at Picture Perfect Creations

What a great weekend we had. My daughter finished her winter rythmic gymnastic's session on Saturday. We went shopping for my son Robin's birthday present. I ran to our church for a few mintues to pick up some paper from my friend Lisa's friend. Copper paper is something I have always wanted and her friend had some to my surprise when I asked how much Lisa told me nothing. Thank you so much for the gold, silver and copper paper ( your made my day). We then headed off to our Wetaskiwin Sports Hall of Fame inductee night. Some of the girls there I had not seen in twenty years and it was super great to hear about each inductee and what they have done in the community. What a great night. Enough about my weekend and onto our good stuff. Thanks too everyone who shared their creative spaces with us. They are all awesome and gave me some really neat idea's to try and finish mine off...oh now I just need more money *LOL*. As always you never let us down. So this week at Picture Perfect Creations Crafty Challenges we are on to our New Color Combo #53 Chocolate Chip, Real Red and Pacific Point. Fabby colors to work with that is for sure. When I pulled the colors out it popped into my head what a great colors for a boys birthday card. It so happens that I needed one. My son Robin is turning 12 on Tuesday and he needs a special card.

When I hopped on over to Phindy's Place their latest challenge was All About Animals. I had this My Favorite Things stamp that was itching to be inked. The Paper Players this week provided me with an amazing sketch to use for Robin's birthday card.

Here is my card. Now I had to stamp this image twice. Why you ask? Well the first time this cute rabbit was colored darker brown and it just didn't look right, so then I tried again and left him white (still not sure). Some more brown color markers are in order I think. Guess this little guy represents our snowy March. A little too much blue back to back would have changed the traingle to red and the ribbon to brown, but I had already glued it all down...LOL. I do hope he will like it.

Stamp: My Favorite Things; Paper: Whisper White, Real Red Pacific Point, Chocolate Chip; Ink: Memento; Accesories: Brad, Metal charm, lattice embossing folder (SU) and a Martha Stewart punch. marker (SU) and red ribbon. So come on out and join us for this fabby color combo this week. I can't wait to stop bye your blogs to see what you comment and share some love. Things have been really busy here this last week and this next week is no exception so I am sorry my comments have been so later than normal. Picture Perfect Creations is growing and we are just having so much fun, so please join us in another fun filled week.

An Eyelet Challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks

Can you believe another Thursday has come so fast. It is good to be back from my vacation, well at least from crafting. I might need a vacation from some of the other stuff that has popped up since we have come back....(LOL). Florida is an amazing place and we were lucky to have a rockin time with the Turner family. There was tons of walking, laughing and going through many firsts together and overall just making some really fun memories. We came home to snow and it hasn't stopped yet *yuck*.

First off thank you so much to everyone who played in my sketch challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks last week. I will be around to comment on all of them very soon. Also a huge thank you to Leanne and Melissa for holding down the fort for us while we were gone. I really appreciate it and as always you two were amazing.
Can you believe we are on Challenge #30 at 4 Crafty Chicks this week and our hostess-with-the-mostess this week is our beautiful Lori! Man did she give us a good challenge. Her challenge for us is to use EYELETS.
Well let me tell you mine have been collecting dust for a very long time. Seriously I can't remember the last time I used them...LOL. Yesterday, I was stressing, yep I sure was. Why? Well a year or so ago I got my Big Bite II for christmas. Opened it up and used it a few times and then pushed it back in the corner (basically because I didn't know how to use it, because I thought it came with no instructions in reality, they went in the garabe by accident). So trying to use it on my card was not working well, the search was on for my old eyelet tools. Well the little end bits were found but not the main piece. Tears started forming, how was I to do a card that I couldn't put the eyelets in. So as the panic was setting in I thought of my computer gru Lori...what would Lori do? She would use Google. So that is what happened and a wonderful Video popped up on uTube and wola it was time to finish my card. Thank goodness for all of you crafters who put videos on the net. So when you see my card it is not perfect my line and spaces are not the same and some of my holes are not in a straight line. Sorry about that.
To compleminet the eyelet challenge this week I chose the colors from Scrapmaster's Paradise Color Combo (they were fun) and the sketch was a pretty clean and simple one by Techno Stamper. I added texture to my card to go with the embossing challenge from Paper Sundaes and the paper piercing on my card is for the Totally Stampalicious challenge this week.

Here is my card! I hope you like the general look of it minus the not straight line and spaces. The butterfly is yellow because I miss the sun and spring would be really nice to see.

Well I hope you like our new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks this week. It will be so much fun to join you at your blog to see your creations. Don't forget to check out Leanne, Lori and Melissa their links are on my right side bar.
Wishing you the best Thrusday and a super great week ahead. Thanks for stopping bye and sharing my card with me.

Specialty Challenge # 5 at PPC

Goood Monday Morning!!! Well after vacationing in Florida and enjoying the sun, Disney World, SeaWorld and Discovery Cove for the last two weeks with our amazing family friends the Turner Family. I am back to realty and that it is still snowing here in small town Alberta and there is no green yet *sniff, sniff*. No seriously it was the most amazing holiday with tons of laughter, many firsts and so many new memories made and ready to treasure for a life time.

I missed you all at PPC and it is going to be so much fun seeing what everyone has created while we were gone. Enough of my yapping and onto our totally exciting challenge Megan has for us this week. Are you ready?

It is week three of March already...where is the time going! So you know what that means a Specialty Challenge. Megan has given us a fun twist this week! I loved it :)

Specialty Challenge #5 is to *Show Us Your Creative Space*

So here is my creative space. I am still working on developing it into what I would like, but for now it works better for me than taking stuff upstairs to my kitchen table and never really taking it back down * wink*. So for the two years we have been working on it. My table and shelf unit came from IKEA! I love them both. My plastic containers hold rub-ons, buttons, ribbon, glitter, my clear stamps and some rubber ones (oh and so much more...LOL). This christmas my friend Lori gave me my stamp pad, ink refill and felt marker holder. Her dad did an amazing job making it and now I actually use all of my stamp pads, because I can see them before I would use my stampin' spots because it was easier than digging through a pile for the bigger ones. It also helps me to see what I still have to get. (Huge thank you to Lori and her dad organizing it all sure helped).

When we moved into our house there was this huge cabinet and it stores my punches, embossing powders and some more ribbon (cross stitching patterns). On the top my plastic containers hold my 12x12 pattern paper and plain paper. My embossing gun, big bite and cuttle bug sit behind me ready to use. My kiddy table holds my cutter and sometimes some other stuff. Now I do have an old showing machine that my daughter uses or sometimes my friends and my kids old change table has doors and 2 drawers that hold my spellbinders and embossing folders (sorry not to have pictures but for some reason they kept coming out blurry).

This challenge was so much fun. I hope you like my little place for crafting and where I go for relaxation, sanity and creating. It isn't perfect but it is starting to shape into a dream room. This week is going to rock coming to see where you craft. I hope you will join us for this fun challenge with a twist of not making something but sharing your creative space with us at PPC.

Challenge #29 at 4 Crafty Chicks

Can you believe it is Thursday yet again. I will probably saying I am not really to come home from our family vacation with really good friends Lori, Quintin, Calvin and Kim. We will be leaving in a few days and I pray that it is everything that we have dreamed of.

We are on Challenge #29 at 4 Crafty Chicks. This is my week as hostess I did make the sketch but my awesome friend Leanne was so kind to make the post for me. Thank you so much Leanne for helping me out while we were gone. You too Melissa.

Now the sketch is a clean and simple one which I stuck too but my other "chicks" spiced up their cards and they are totally rockin. This card is for my friends husband who is celebrating the big 40. He went hunting last year and I thought this card was a good one as a masculine card. The colors are ones that I liked and I used for the sketch but they don't have to be stuck too. It did make for a crisp looking card.

Here is my card. I hope you like it and the sketch.

Can't wait to see what you create with this sketch. Have a wonderful week and remember I will stop bye and check out what you created when I get home from Florida. You all rock thanks for the support at 4 Crafty Chicks. Be sure to check out Leanne, Lori and Melissa blogs. they are rockin.

Challenge #52 at PPC!

Happy Monday morning! Well my family and I are still on holidays in Florida. By now I honestly hope that I have hugged at least one Disney character and road on some awesome rides. I really hope that my checks hurt from laughing and that tons of pictures have been taken.

Megan has brought us an amazing color combo again this week. We are on challenge #52 this week at PPC. Megan is asking us to use always artichoke, elegant eggplant and tangerine tango. My sister in law had her birthday so these are the colors I used to make her card. It is a clean and simple card. Hope you all will join us for this color combo.

I am once again using a past sketch from Techno Stamper.

Here is her birthday card. The Swiss Dots just pop on the always artichoke and elegant eggplant. It isn't blue although I realize it looks that way from my picture. Sorry about that. The stamp is from stamping up and one of the punches too.

Thanks for stopping in and I really hope you will join us this week at PPC. I am looking forward to coming home next week and looking back to see what you created. Be sure to stop bye and see the amazing creations from our fabby Design Team.

Happy Crafting.

Challenge #28 at 4 Crafty Chicks

Good Thursday Morning! This is my first 4 Crafty Chicks challenge that I am not actually here for. I pre-scheduled my post today. I hope you are all doing well. Lori and I are with our families on our first vacation together. Hopefully we are seeing some sun. It was so much fun to comment on some of the posts from last week before I left. Thank you so much for an awesome turnout.

This week our fabby hostess is Melissa. Now Melissa is a color girl and boy did she ever come up with a gooder for us.

CHALLENGE #28 IS CONCORD CRUSH, PRETTY IN PINK AND BASIC GREY

I must say I loved, loved working with these colors. The stamp I used is a new one from Totally Stampalicious. Now I was having a massive crafting block but when I went to the post office to pick up the mail there was a package of totally fabby stamps to work with. I just love them.

The sketch that helped me is from Pals Paper Arts, it worked great with my new girl.
Oh the sketch I believe is the one from last week.

I had a blast coloring her and getting rid of my crafting block. Here is a close up so you can see her bling...LOL. Just love dazzling diamonds. Hope you like her.

Come join us girls at 4 Crafty Chicks for an amazing challenge! Melissa knows how to bring them and Leanne and Lori know how to bring some amazing inspiration to the rest of us. I look forward to seeing what you all have created when I get back from our family vacation.

Challenge #51 at PPC

Good Monday morning! Usually I am at home typing up my post the morning of our challenge. Today, I am hopefully enjoying my third day in Florida. Boy am I hoping that the weather is nice. As I am typing this it is snowing here. Thanks to everyone who has played this last week. all of your creations that I saw before my family left were so awesome.

Megan has a challenging color combo for us this week at PPC. This is my hardest color combo but I must say I am very happy with how my card turned out. Thanks Megan for making us step out of our box.

The sketch I used to help me out is an old one from Techno Stamper - her past sketches as well as her new ones are great.

Here is my card! Unfortunately the night before we left I was told that my friends mom had passed away and her funeral was going to be a few days later. My heart goes out to her and her family. As I was doing my challenge cards, I decided to make this one into a Sympathy card. It is not your usual colors, but I hope the colors will warm her and comfort her. All stamps are from Verve.

Please come join us at Picture Perfect Creation Crafty Challenges. We love seeing your work and I will enjoy looking at them when I get back. Our other DT members have some more inspiration for you.

have a great week and thanks for stopping bye.

Challenge #27 at 4 Crafty Chicks.

Good morning! First off I want to say sorry for my late post. I am not feeling very good and my bed called to me...so bad on me I didn't even pre-post my card. Sorry to my fellow peeps too for letting you down.

Secondly, loved, loved everyone's take on Lori's challenge last week. It was a blast seeing all of the beautiful creations.

Thirdly today is Thursday and you know what that means! A new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks. Who is the hostess this week? So glad you asked it is our fabby creator and the girl who can make you laugh until you cry..LEANNE from Banking on Crafts. Let's get onto her fabby challenge for us.

CHALLENGE #27 IS STITCHING!!!

What a terrific challenge. I usually do fo stitching but today, I am going to shock you. This is my very first hand stitched card. I used two strands of white cross stitching floss, after I poked holes. Now I was surprised at how long it took to do, but I like the effect and will be doing it again...LOL. Thanks, Leanne for pushing me with this challenge to try something new to keep up to my crafty peep *wink*.

The color combo I used for my card came from Scrapmaster's Paradise (it is such pretty colors and the DT's have amazing inspirations for it).

My sketch came from Clean and Simple. It is their 129th challenge. It really helped me with the colors. Thank you so much.

Here is my card. Like I said I used white floss and the stamp set for the flowers is from simply said (SU retired). My Sentiment is from Verve-Beautiful you! I used a punch from SU, flowers, and nesties. My mom seen my card and has put the request in to have it...LOL. The stitching took a while but I feel it is so worth it.

I have great news! One of our other crafty chicks Lori and her family are going on a trip with my family. We are going to seek the sun for two weeks. I am looking so forward to it. We are getting ready to leave tomorrow. The sun and warm temps are going to be so wonderful. I will check out everyones inspirations for the challenges when I get back.
Hope you enjoy Leanne's challenge as much as I did. My other crafting partners Lori and Melissa and Leanne have rockin, rockin inspiration for you. Come and join us for some stitching.

Thanks again for stopping bye! Have an amazing Thursday!
