Bring on Challenge #69 at 4 Crafty Chicks.

Good morning to you! It is another mild day here in central Alberta. Not a ton of snow on the ground for Christmas but the ground is covered. Yesterday was the last day of school for my kids and so today we are taking the time to get the house cleaned so we can finish up some Christmas presents which means we finally get to do some Christmas baking. Can't believe we only have 3 days left until such a glorious day! It is going to be so much fun...time spent with my family...there is no greater blessing just wish they could all be with us.

Today is Thursday and you got it we have another fantastic challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks. Our beautiful and very funny hostess this week is Lori. She has given us a true challenge this week of Christmas. I must say this one always stumps me a little. There were quite a few idea's that came to mind for this one and well it took me a while to settle on what I wanted to do. Here is what our chickie gave us.

CHALLENGE #69 - ANYTHING BUT A RECTANGLE OR A SQUARE

These ornaments are fun to make. Overall this season I have made 20 ornaments. Different colors and designs. The ornaments I bought at Walmart, the paper is Stampin Up, Stamps - Outliners, Gold embossing powder, gold elastic ribbon, scissor and glue.

In these two pictures are one that I gave my wonderful friend Leanne. It is made with Early Espresso paper, Crumb Cake, gold embossing powder and gold elastic ribbon.

This green ornament was made for my fabulous friend Lori. It is made with Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler ribbon and gold embossing powder.

My friend Helen bought this one for her daughter's music silent auction. It is made with Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive paper along with gold embossing powder.

The last one I will show you was for Eva who each week preps and works through our Bible Studies, so us girls can stay on track. We learn so much. Thanks Eva.

This one is made out of Early Espresso, old olive, cherry cobbler paper and gold embossing powder.

Christmas is a time of Blessings :)

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree...how I miss you! I am still waiting to get my house decorated. I know it is sad but alas they are hopefully fixing my front window for good today and they are still siding my house so nothing can be on the walls or close to the window. I want to sing...it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas, every where you go...but first I have to get some holiday spirit going in my house.

Well today is Thursday and you know what that means. Another challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks and well it is my turn to host #68. I can't believe we are on that number already...doesn't that just rock. Can you believe that there is only 10 days left until Christmas Day *oy* so much to do, so little time but in the end it always works out. Okay enough of my babbling and onto our challenge

CHALLENGE #68 - CHRISTMAS CARDS

I made this clean and simple card with a few different layered colors, night of navy, basic grey and red. This was super fast and easy to make. I enjoyed designing this card while out at my friend Lori's. The other stamp I used was a door it was a Stampin Up Stamp. I also had a few that had a scripted Merry Christmas in red ink. Other than stamp a stacks this was my first time ever mass producing my husbands work cards. Normally they each get a different one but this year life was just a little busier. They were a little disappointed but still liked them. Everything on this card is from Stampin Up.

Be sure to stop bye Leanne, Lori and Melissa blogs because they have made some super fabby creations. Also check out our Guest Designer: Dee, she is going to be joining us for her third challenge this month. Oh did she ever rock out on my Christmas card challenge. Christmas is a time of Joy!

Good Morning! I hope this posts finds everyone in really good health. This last weekend and the start of this week the flu arrived in our house. We tell it every year that it is not welcome but for some reason it feels free to stay...LOL. On Sunday we had our first Family Christmas party of the season and it was one filled with great company and lots of laughs.

It was another amazing turn out last week at 4 Crafty Chicks. The awesome coloring, cool layouts, and creativity was wonderful! We are on week two for December and we are lucky that our hostess with the mostess this week is our one and only MELISSA.

CHALLENGE #67 - COLOR COMBO

I had so much fun with this color combo. Right away this glittery paper I bought popped right into my head, then the layout. The paper on my card, the twine, the stamp set, top note and jewel are from Stampin Up. The glittery espresso color paper is from a craft store from a town near mine. Of course the texture is from a snowflake embossing folder from Cuttlebug. As you can see it is another clean and simple card. I don't think this picture does justice for the glitter on the paper, but oh how I love it.
