Back to School at 4 Crafty Chicks!

Good morning everyone! What a week I have had with the back to school excitement already.  On Monday I registered my oldest Tristan for High School.  All day I kept going how the heck did this happen...LOL.  For the last three days I have been on the phone and in at the school trying to fix his schedule so he won't go crazy from the work load and neither will we.  He had English, Science, Social and Math in the first semester and then Biology 20 in the second semester along with Foods, Mechanics, Fabrication, Calm and Phys. Ed.  Well I can finally say HOPEFULLY that we have it fixed with managing now not to take correspondence for a few courses and that he has two core courses in each semester. YAHOOOOOO!! The volleyball schedule he has is insane and we just started tryoutS! I still don't know what my other two are doing this year for extra curricular activities. It is going to be a great year.  Still have to do a little back to school shopping for my middle son then I am done.  Robin and Kaitlyn will have their first day at the new school on Tuesday.  Let the fun begin... :)  Still not sure where summer went but onwards and upwards they say....not sure who said that...LOL.

Today at 4 Crafty Chicks we have a new challenge.  It is our Crazy Egg challenge and we also have a fabulous prize for a lucky winner that is drawn by random.org.  Lori is putting up the wonderful prize this month.  Thanks Lori.

Challenge #105 this week is BACK TO SCHOOL!

My fabulous partners in crafting have created some truly awesome designs.  Be sure to check them out.  Also make sure to stop by Ann's blog as this is her last challenge for us this month.  Her inspiration knows no bounds and is truly amazing.

Here is my clean and simple card.  The stamp is Tart & Tangy by Stampin Up.  The paper is whisper white and real red.  Markers: garden green, chocolate chip and real red.  Two circle punches and scallop punch made by Stampin Up.  I didn't have much in my stash but I thought the apples would work good.

An update on my blanket by the time morning comes, I should be done crocheting it and then I just need to sew in way too many ends...LOL.  I am proud to finally finish a craft I started many years ago.  Now to finish a few others...LOL.  Thanks Lori for the dare it sure did help!!  Picture to follow after I get the ends sewn in.

Please come and join us at 4 Crafty Chicks.  We love seeing what you all share with us each week.  Can't wait to stop by and say hi!!

To my fellow followers thank you so much for your support, it means the world.

Thanks to anyone who has taken to time to stop in and share my card with me.

Have an amazing day! Here is a smile from me to you!! Pass it on! Hugs :)

Sketch Time!!

HAPPY THRUSDAY MORNING YA ALL!  Hope you all had a good sleep last night, I needed more but all and all no complaints.  So before I get to 4 Crafty Chicks new challenge there is something that I would like to share.  Last week my buddy oh pal Lori came for a crafting visit and well we broke out our crocheting.  As we worked Lori asked me how many rows were left?  There was 30 and and then she challenged me to get it done last weekend.  Well that didn't quite happen but now it is fun to report that there is only 13 left.  Super excited to try and complete a project that was way to long in the making...LOL....LOL.  Picture to follow of the completed afghan hopefully it will be soon :)

Thank you so much too everyone who played our Circle challenge last week.  It was way to hard to pick just three.  Please keep bringing it!!  Our beautiful hostess with the mostess this week is Lori and she has an awesome sketch challenge for us.  Thanks Lori for the amazing sketch, it was super fun to create with it. WHOOT, WHOOT!

CHALLENGE #104 - SKETCH

Ah, now here is my creation with this wonderful sketch.  Yep, you see the Echo Park (Walk in the Park) pattern paper again, I do believe that I am in love with this paper...LOL.   I used three punches from Stampin Up, also Stampin Up buttons, espresso brown marker, cherry cobbler ink and felt flowers.  The stamp set is also from Stampin Up Teeny Tiny Wishes??.
It is a clean and simple card but one that was oh so much fun to make.  I wasn't sure about taking the picture of the card with a white background so here is one with a black back ground. The border was my husband's idea. I think it helped to make a frame of the main part to the sketch.  Butterflies were punched out to go in the top right hand corner but they just didn't seem to fit.  Off I went to my forgotten stash drawer and I think the felt flowers turned out okay.
This last week has been filled with back to school shopping, one done two left to go*oy*. The stores are just way too busy for me.  How about you?

I would love to enter my card into the Make It Monday - Anything Goes challenge.

Please come and join us at 4 Crafty Chicks for another fun filled challenge.  I can't wait to pop on over to your blog to see your creation.

Thank you for sharing my card with me.  Have an amazing day!!

Circles Anyone?

Hey ya all! How is everyone doing this Thursday morning?  Me, I am doing good waiting for my good buddy Lori to come and craft with me.  Not sure if we will make cards, crochet or maybe we will do both.  The best thing is that we get to just spend some down time together.  What a week we had last week Tristan was at volleyball/basketball camp all week, then we had a family reunion that lasted the whole weekend.  I truly met some really amazing ladies.  Also this weekend we found out that my Uncle and Aunt were in a very bad car accident, so we are sending tons of love out to them and praying for their health and a speedy recovery.

Onto our new challenge for the week at 4 Crafty Chicks.  It was my week to pick the challenge and well circles, circles and more circles came to mind.  I can remember when I was younger having circles drawn all over everything.  I put designs in them, made faces and loved cutting them out.  Another fun fact is that when you are blowing bubbles and you look just the right way you can see a picture in them of whatever is behind you.  The picture underneath is from our holidays in 2011.  If you look at the bubble the scene in it is a picture of the water, trees and rocks behind us, not the trees in the back ground of this picture.  When we saw this we tried to snap so many pictures because it was amazing and beautiful.  Alas this is probably the clearest one. Sure wish I could blow it up for you.  Hope you like it.

CHALLENGE #103 - CIRCLES, CIRCLES AND MORE CIRCLES

Onto my card full of circles.  The pattern paper I used is Walk in the Park from Echo Park???  Both stamp sets are from Stampin Up, the one on the left is Tangy and Tart.  Not sure of the other stamp set.  Pattern paper with circles, embossed white paper with circles, my stamps are circles, 4 different circle punches and the gems. I tried to out do myself with the most circles to be used on one of my cards and yes my goal was accomplished.  At first I struggled with the layout but after walking away from it for a while, I came back and was satisfied.  Oh and it has been a while since I broke out the gems and well it seem I went gem crazy...LOL.
I would love to enter my card into Make It Monday - #102 Anything Goes and The ABC Challenge - V for Vanish (my vanishing is pop ups behind my cherry flower with Thanks so much)

My fellow DT's have some super amazing inspiration for you this week. Be sure to stop by 4 Crafty Chicks and see what Lori, Leanne, Melissa and Ann have created. I can't wait to see what our Circle challenge inspires in you!!

Thank you to everyone who has popped in to share in my creation and too all of my followers and anyone who comments you are all truly appreciated.  Have a blessed day :)

Up, Up and Away at 4 Crafty Chicks

Good morning peeps!  I hope this post finds everyone doing well.  Last night we had another wicked storm, where we lost power.  Of course I was on my computer changing up some stuff on my post when we lost power and find out this morning that I lost my whole post.  Ha Ha....I don't remember exactly what I put but a short little story was being added.  Now this is going to be a quick post as I am running up to Edmonton to take my son to his volleyball/basketball camp.  He is so sore this morning he can hardly walk...guess he is getting prepared for the start of the season here soon.

We have another fabulous challenge this week at 4 Crafty Chicks.  Our hostess with the mostess is Melissa.  Our new GDT, Lori, Leanne and Melissa have really wonderful inspiration for you to see.

Distressing with 4 Crafty Chicks

Good Morning to ya all! Happy first week of August...oh man where is the time going?  We are onto another fun challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks.  Our very talented host this week is the one the only Leanne.  She has challenged us to something fun and really something very easy.

CHALLENGE #101 - DISTRESSING

Here is my creation.  I was super excited about this challenge because I could break out my new Tim Holtz (sp??) distressing tool.  It was messy oh but so much fun.  Leanne is a Distressing queen in my books, she gets those tears and rough edges just perfect each time.  Lori and Melissa are also Distressing queens with their daubers, oh to shade like they do.  All in all my adventure with this new tool was worth the purchase and look on the card.  Wish my camera showed it better in this picture.  Oh and this is my first ever Tilda...saweeet.    I used two kinds of pattern papers, Early Espresso, Whisper White (ribbon and paper).  Three Stampin Up punches, one Stampin Up Stamp, Copics, pearls and gems.

Please come on out and join us at 4 Crafty Chicks for this wonderful challenge.  Show us what it inspires in you. Can't wait to see what everyone has created.

Have a wonderful week.
